Description
One of my more fine art pieces. As some of you may know, Derby is my sweet little Boston Terrier that I am in love with. I sketched this out at work and did the color at home with Prismacolor pencils. The background is a simple gradient layer done in CS2 to give some contrast in the lower half of her body. This was done off of an actual photo, so if anyone out there has a picture of a pet they would like to have done with traditional media, let me know

Beautiful. 
I like your use of stippling - it gives this piece a wonderful texture. Her little expression is so sweet. Anatomy, shading, everything looks accurate and convincing. If you want to, you might consider giving her something to sit on - but I like the way the background is simple. Maybe a shadow could be added for some frame of reference for the ground plane? Excellent work!
