I should probably start by saying I'm not really a hardcore furry. I love animals, they're fun to draw and I enjoy hybrids/chimeras. That being said, I think I may have a shot at making some commission money using they're site. Beyond that, I also plan to set up an Instagram account (finally) to help continue promoting the non-furry associated work. I don't know how much any of it will truly help, but I know that if I don't put forth some kind of effort, nothing will happen and I'll continue bringing in $0 a month from artwork.
Something like this would cost about $20. I'm sure there are some who would say I'm over charging, but with the time spent researching animals, locating good reference photos, trying different appearances and tweaking the color palette, it took me over 2 hours to do this (putting me at less than $10/hr, what I would say is my minimum). I expect that it may end up taking less time with more practice, but at that point, I'll just start putting in more detail and continue using the 2 hours.
